USE AS EVIDENCE

It is essential that all effort is made to retain the original video quality if it is to be used as evidence throughout legal proceedings. Keep in mind that certain protocols must be met if the video will be used as evidence, so make sure that everything is meticulously documented, or the video will not be accepted into the proceedings.

All aspects of the download must be documented, including the time and date when the download was taken, the time and date when the video itself was taken, the contact information for the representatives of the location where the video footage was extracted, the type, brand, and condition of the cameras that took the video footage, and the exact way in which the footage was downloaded.

If any of this information is missing, it will be impossible for the footage to be verified, and the evidence may not be permitted in the courtroom.
